321Go!

Event Description:

This is week one of 321go!, a seven-week program designed by the National Down Syndrome Society to promote healthy lifestyle choices in physical activity, balanced nutrition, and emotional wellness among adults with Down syndrome and their families. Every VIP/Parent, Sibling, Guardian Team will receive an NDSS 321 Go Kit with your registration. 

We are excited to welcome our new program instructor, Emily Sachs! Emily Sachs is a certified group fitness instructor with over 15 years of teaching experience.  She started instructing fitness classes while attending the University of Maryland, ultimately serving as the university’s Coordinator of Fitness Programs for three years.  Emily has taught a variety of class formats throughout her career, including step aerobics, cycling, interval training, and Les Mills BODYPUMP.  She holds a Master’s degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from Emporia State University and is certified as a Group Fitness Instructor by the American Council on Exercise.  Most recently, Emily was a volunteer for GiGiFIT -- an exercise program for teens and adults with Down syndrome — at GiGi’s Playhouse in Lancaster, PA.  She is also a registered dietitian nutritionist and the owner of Emily Sachs Nutrition, LLC.  Emily enjoys running outdoors, trying new healthy recipes, attending local sporting events, and spending quality time with family and friends.  She lives in Haymarket with her husband and six-year-old twins.

Cost: Program cost- $140 (per parent/child team)

All abilities welcome! Must be 18 or over to participate and be accompanied by an 18+ parent/sibling/guardian.
