Preparing for a Bright Future

The Community Employment Program provides opportunities to adults with Down syndrome (ages 22+) to further develop their work skills. This program picks up contracts through various community partners, so work hours and locations may vary per contract. Participants leave each contract with a certificate of completion and a summary of the skills they developed, for use on their resume.

Current Contract:

Duration- 10 weeks. Participants work two days a week for 3 hours a day.

Task- Creation of 42 work task boxes for 24 high schools within Fairfax County Public Schools.
